DETROIT, MI – December 10, 2007 – Wildflours Bakery & Cafe hopes to raise more than $5,000 for both Gleaners Community Food Bank and Northville Civic Concern by donating 10% of gross sales of their Christmas cookies. Made from scratch with organic flour and evaporated cane juice, these gourmet holiday cookies make great gifts for family and friends or can be purchased as trays for your holiday entertaining.
Giving back to the community is very important to the new owners of Wildflours Bakery, Steve and Stacy Ciric. “We are all one on the spiritual plane,” Steve states, “and out of this deep conviction I am looking forward to giving back to Northville and Michigan.”
The Cirics have developed the trademark “Ending World Hunger, One Bite a Time” and are very hopeful that the Christmas Cookie sales will allow them to help alleviate hunger in the Detroit area. They plan to continue fighting hunger locally and worldwide through future promotions.
Creating high-quality and healthy baked goods is also very important to the Ciric family, who has more than 30 years of experience in the bakery business. After being an owner of the Westwood Bakery in Detroit and Superior Bread Baking Co. in Livonia, Steve Ciric jumped at the chance to purchase Wildflours Bakery. Products made from organic flour and evaporated organic cane juice will be the specialty at Wildflours Bakery, offerings include cakes, muffins, pies, cupcakes and brownies.
Wildflours Bakery is located in the Highlands Lake Plaza at 43053 7 Mile Road, just east of Northville Road. Hours are 9 am–6 pm Mon.–Fri. and 9 am–3 pm Sat. The store is normally closed Sundays, but will be open 9 am–4 pm. on Dec. 23.
Orders of Holiday Cookie Trays, Towers or Boxes to help fight hunger can be shipped to anywhere within the United States or picked up in the store. For more information, please visit wildfloursbakery.com.
